Venetian PVC Trowel, White, 280x120/100 x 1.5mm

White PVC Venetian trowel with a BiKoGRIP® SOFT handle. The blade is tapered, 280mm long by 120mm across the heel and 100mm at the toe, at 1.5mm thick.

A plastic blade does something a steel one cannot. Marmorino and polished lime finishes carry hard pigments like chromium oxide green and titanium white. Those particles drag against steel and leave grey burnish streaks in the surface. PVC lays the same material down and polishes it without marking it. It behaves the same way on clay and lime plasters.

The blade is a trapezoid with rounded corners and finely ground, burr free edges. The rounded corners keep it from digging chatter marks into a wet field. The taper lets you work into corners and along edges without the trailing edge catching. At 1.5mm the blade is semi flexible, stiff enough to press material flat and forgiving enough to follow the wall.

This is the largest of the three. It is the one to reach for on open wall and ceiling fields, where covering more ground in a single pass means fewer seams to chase. The soft grip runs the full length of the handle, so the tool stays comfortable through the repeated passes these finishes demand. Light in the hand and easy to clean. Made by NELA in Germany.
